In the CSU Board of Trustees' quest for “fair and equitable” compensation practices, the Board will consider updating CSU policy on Tuesday to include market data, equity and retention as it grants annual merit salary increases to campus presidents.
The Board had first reviewed the matter in September and anticipated state legislative and public pushback.

We absolutely agree with Chancellor White that it’s time for the CSU to adopt a “reasonable, consistent and competitive policy with clear benchmarks” for setting pay. We just think it should be for everyone statewide, not just for the top 1%.
